Proposals, Tenders and Bids

Request for Proposal (RFP): An RFP is a formal document that organizations use to solicit proposals from potential suppliers or service providers. It outlines the requirements, specifications, and criteria that the organization seeks in the proposals.

Call for Bids: This term is often used interchangeably with "tender" and refers to the process where organizations invite bids from suppliers or contractors to provide goods or services.

Expression of Interest (EOI): An EOI is a preliminary step where organizations invite potential suppliers to express their interest in providing specific goods or services. It helps in shortlisting potential bidders before the formal tendering process.

Call for Proposals (CFP): Similar to an RFP, a CFP is used to solicit proposals from organizations or individuals for specific projects, programs, or initiatives.

These terms might vary in usage depending on the industry, region, or specific organizational practices. However, they all generally refer to the process of inviting bids or proposals from suppliers, vendors, or contractors to fulfill certain requirements or projects within a business or governmental context.
