with Live coaching for managers,

business owners and employees

involved in international trade and commerce.

Business Emails

Emails are like Lego pieces or building blocks of standard Business English expressions, and that is how this course has been organized, dealing with both formal and informal mails in various common business scenarios.

Meetings and Negotiations

This section isdivided into two main sections, firstly Meetings, and secondly Negotiations, focusing on the standard and accepted expressions at international meetings and negotiations, taking into account international business cultural influences.

Business Presentations

The course deals with the Business English aspects of this essential management skill, and although English for international business is the main focus, attention is also paid to style and technique as well as suggestions for the slides.

International Business Culture

A major element in developing cross-border business relationships is the awareness of international cultural issues, and the ability to communicate vebally and non-verbally accordingly. That is the focus of this course.

Hello and welcome to this online course in Englishfor International Business. I’m Laurie Oberman with over a decade of hands-on management experience and 25 years as a leading mentor, consultant and instructor in English for international business. But more about me inside the course.

The course itself contains four main Units of the essential management skills in international business communication, and they are: business emails, meetings and negotiations, business presentations and finally a section on international business culture. There are all together 120 video lectures offering over three hours of recorded material, as well as twenty practice sessions covering the necessary English language elements, to boost your expertise and confidence in English communication for business situations.

As the course is intended for non-native speakers of English, the text of each video clip is displayed below it, making it easy for you to understrand, to follow and to review the material without missing any of the details. There is a short introduction explaining the outline and objectives before each of the four units, so let’s not waste any more time here.

Let’s get straight down to business!
